The exhibition “Malahim” is a visual exploration of the relationship between humans and the invisible dimension of reality, taking as its starting point the theme of the nine angelic choirs. The artist approaches this subject not as a religious representation but as a conceptual structure that expresses a subtle dialogue between the telluric and the divine, through a distinctive artistic language.
Influenced by Andrei Pleșu’s book “About Angels” and by his experience in church painting, the artist distances himself from the strictures of traditional iconography, seeking the inner truth of each angelic triad, reinterpreted through varied compositions in rhythm, density, and chromaticism. The earthy color palette anchors these “heavenly” presences in a concrete and recognizable register.
“Malahim” continues a personal inquiry into meaning and spirituality, proposing a dialogue between humans and the invisible in an artistic endeavor that values structure, meaning, and the traditional technique of easel painting. The project invites the viewer to reflect on fundamental questions about reality and inner order, offering a space for contemplation and discovery.
